Spiritual Blessings

Ephesians 1:3-4:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be Holy and without blame before him in love

I absolutely love these two verses in Ephesians because what better blessings to receive than them of spiritual. Spiritual blessings out weights any material thing God could ever give us. To receive anything spiritual is not to receive it with just your mind but it’s to receive in your spirit and in your heart.

When God comes knocking at your door and you have been crying to Him all night long. He comes first to give you peace not just any peace but a spiritual peace one that surpasses your understanding. I don’t care what going on that peace will have you sitting in heavenly places with your mind stayed on Jesus. I don’t care if you are sad, depressed, and ready to give up on life. When God shows up with that spiritual joy He will make you forget all about what you were going through. It is a joy that over takes you and makes you light as a feather, a joy that strengthens you in a time of trouble.

The spiritual blessings will keep us day-to-day. We ask for material things and God is such a good God and loving father that he will give them, but don’t store them up in your heart. Out of the heart are the issues of life. If your issue is money, car, clothes, and whatever else of this world than in a time of trouble those things better get a heartbeat because unless they do, they can’t do anything to help you. Store your heart up on spiritual things, and God will bestow blessings on you that will have millionaires jealous of you. It will have people scratching their heads and wondering how you made it over, and you will be able to lift your hands and say it was nothing but God.
